The Pure Collective
Based in Sydney, Australia, The Pure Collective is a community based, eco-system style model. A network of social businesses and a core philanthropic trust. The group still focuses on the highest standards of quality and service to customers and clients, whilst operating with a deep sense of empathy and compassion each day. In practical terms, they do this by embedding philanthropy in every day purchases, like getting a coffee, through to operating a Social Business model with the commitment to donate any profit or surplus back to charity. In partnership with Charter Hall, the ground floor lobby of 65 Berry Street, North Sydney was transformed into the home of Symbol. This is North Sydney's first profit-for-purpose cafe and true to its name, it stands as a symbol - as a role model - in the centre of the minimalist designed 500sqm. Its surroundings in the lobby include a community hub, a wellness area used for yoga and pilates, an auditorium used for events and also a collaborative artist's studio, Project 504, providing a creative work environment for artists.

Folonomo - "for love not money" - is the signature of the Pure Collective, the philosophy that underpins every action, every choice, every intention.
The heritage listed building in the midst of Surry Hills, was originally a private home, before it was transformed into a beautiful profit-for-purpose restaurant with a sleek bar and private outdoor courtyard dining area in July 2015. Since its inception, the Folonomo restaurant supported charities such as Blue Dragon, EatUp and Rural Aid, having an impact of X. As of 2019, Folonomo will focus on hosting large parties and events only, at its signature communal table for thirty. It has transformed into a well-connected co-working space, with the School of Life as its legacy tenant, amongst many other like-minded businesses and individuals, all of whom living out their personal iteration of for love not money.

Since the late 19th century, 1 Martin Place was seen as the civic centre of Sydney, where merchants conducted their trade and in more recent times, it transformed into the financial heart of the city. In August 2018, it has transcended to include Portal, the first profit-for purpose cafe in Martin Place. The spectacular architectural ceiling retains the historic structure of the precinct, creating a portal across the centuries into today's era. The space, in partnership with Charter Hall, is technology enabled, with a ground-to-mezzanine media wall, flexible furniture arrangements and a bespoke innovation space. Portal also has a focus on sustainability, with improved energy efficiency for thermal comfort and indoor air quality.
